Truman Library trivia competition

Post by Charlie Dees »

It's not quizbowl, but tonight I went to one of those history trivia contests that is all worksheets at the Truman Library in Independence to watch Rock Bridge, and out of nowhere a group of people from Clayton, including at least 4 people I've seen play quizbowl for them, were there. I certainly never expected to run into Ikshu in a suburb of Kansas City of all places. For those curious, Rock Bridge beat Clayton by getting 1 weirdly worded question about Mao in a runoff round after both teams tied in the prelims, and most importantly I got to have one of my beloved Bryant's sandwiches for dinner. Just another unusual, marginally quizbowl-interest story for those interested.

If we had the awesome smilie here, now would be the time to use it profusely.

Much fun must have been had by all.
