The school of engineering doesn't have a cap on AP credits and is pretty lenient on what they take. No gen chem, writing 1, calc 1 or 2, physics (1 semester), or bio for me :D

Yeah you engineers have it easy. It's too bad you guys couldn't take the heat in ArtSci.

If not having to repeat classes I've already taken is not being able to take the heat, I'm fine with that.

If that were the case, I'd be less bitter. The problem is that gen chem has a ton of stuff that I doubt anyone learns in AP chem. Same thing with bio. And writing 1 is just a huge waste of time. If everyone in the other school have to take it, the engineers should too.

Commuting, actually.
Which brings up another thing doesn't suck: cloudy weather means the sun isn't in my eyes when I'm driving (I go east in the morning, west in the evening...). Of course the ridiculous rainfall accompanying the clouds this morning was...an interesting driving experience.

Going to the racetrack near here and watching a bunch of rednecks hook up trailers to junk cars and race the cars and trailers around the track. :D That was hilarious!

Even better, the winner was the Batmobile. Seriously, the car looked like the Batmobile, it had the Batman logo for a number, and the drive was wearing the Batman mask and cape in the car! :o

once again.... Dwarf Fortress. What other game is there where you have the ability to inundate an elven caravan with lava, use water to solidify them in rock, and then chisel out that rock and make it into an obsidian sword IMBUED WITH THEIR SOUL?

Gmail's spam filter did something awesome recently. I noticed this email in my spam folder:

Image

It came from att@em.wireless.att-mail.com which is the same domain I get legitimate emails from, so as far as I can tell it's from a legitimate AT&T server and not some scam (in which case it would make perfect sense to be filtered). I apparently received an earlier promotion from that same address a couple of months ago that didn't go to spam. Glad to see Gmail has its priorities straight when it comes to the Jayhawks ;)

It's also nice to see that AT&T can't get their mascots right either.

I believe they're suppose to be referring to A&M.

Final midterm today. :) I don't know how I did and I don't care just now. Life's good. :)

and listening to Jimmie Rodgers, "The Singing Brakeman," who made the first modern country music records in the late 1920's. Problem is, he's singing about shooting the man who absconded with his sweetheart. I need something more pleasant. ;)

I was the 26th person to follow them on Twitter. Did it within seconds of it being announced on BBC News.

Oddly, someone who beat me to it happened to be a firefighter from KC North. So for a short while, 7 percent of Her Majesty's loyal tweeting subjects were from Clay County, Missouri. :P

And speaking of THINGS THAT ARE AWESOME:
TeleFutura ripping off a song to celebrate a PK goal by KC's Teal Bunbury: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fRBFhOr_yXs
And it's gone viral with someone taking the announcer's call to said (and sucky) ripped off song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTm7li1exFE

And now something that's not soccer related, hence why it's even better. The XCUs, the camera pans, the frying pans: PURE WIN ENCAPSULATED IN 60 SECONDS.

December 2010 weather as "winter" weather. I want the days of little precipitation and little frost scraping in the morning back! (I don't think I had to scrape my car in the morning more than 4 or 5 times all month, which is pretty unusual for December; now it's scraping and/or dig out of a bunch of snow every morning!) And it wasn't as cold either. After all that I was hopeful that this winter was going to be relatively tame, but obviously that didn't happen. Oh well, spring weather isn't too far away!

Could be worse. How about a Cat 5 hurricane (er, cyclone) hitting you after you've just survived the worst floods in over a century. Oh, and your cricket team CRASHING AND BURNING THE MONTH BEFORE AGAINST THE TIGERS TO YOUR JAYHAWKS, ENGLAND. :P

Yeah, really sucks to be Australia right now.

So naturally now that I've moved to Ohio, Ohio is now officially the "nerdiest" state in the country.

http://kentwired.com/ohio-named-nerdies ... ary-usage/

The rationale for this is that Ohioans have the highest per capita library usage! Yay!! Nerdy dance!! :D

Odd, considering I have a stump set, bat and PVC ball at home that hasn't had much fare.

Ahh, yes, that is going on. Sad to say, I haven't followed that as much.

Ehh, it's like someone only tuning in to watch the Red Sox only if they're playing the Yankees.

You're missing some good stuff. England tying with India, choking to Ireland, and somehow pulling a win out the hind end against the Saffers.

At least their rugby team ain't doing too shabby (until June, anyway).

EDIT: So far, my car actually works. If you're in need of staff for a tournament in May, let me know.
