2015-16 CONFERENCE TOURNAMENTS

Post by L-Town Expatriate »

This thread will list conference tournaments for the 2015-16. There are (roughly) 74 activities conferences in the state; a string of posts that will follow, listing conferences in alphabetical order. This information is far from complete (and perhaps far from accurate), with schools shifting conferences, adding/dropping programs, and of course who's reading what. To the surprise of few, some of these conferences will have no tournament in place let alone teams competing. (Also, some of these conferences might not have MSHSAA members.) Corrections and information are welcome.

Conferences will be grouped in quote form:
Generic Missouri Conference wrote:Schools with teams (Schools without teams or not competing)
Date of tournament (range/series of dates if duals)
Host or organizer of tournament
Format: MSHSAA, National, other; whether tournament or duals
Question provider:
Additionally, if a thread is started where results are posted/discussed, I will include a link.

Here goes…

Kevin, NAQT has you listed as also using their MSHSAA-formatted conference set starting approximately November 1st. Is this a different contest than the GAC?

Yes. Those are the Tuesday nights league. There are some schools participating in the Tuesdays that aren't in the GAC (Lutheran St. Charles & Christian).

I am the new coach for Helias in Jefferson City. I looked through the conference assignments and quite possibly missed it, but didn't see Helias listed. Could you let me know which group we are in. Trying to get my ducks in a row. Thanks.

Several conference results have been posted to the NAQT website.

Winners I'm aware of that might not be there yet:
-Hallsville won the Tri-County (Central) on Feb. 20th
-Hannibal won the NCMC on March 5th

Today's EMO tournament has been postponed to a later date. Because of an active manhunt along I-70 in Montgomery County, at least two EMO schools have been on lockdown all day today, and others would have needed to travel through the search area to reach the tournament in Elsberry.

Suburban Conference White winner was NKC using the "immensely popular" 3 part format of 10 tossups/Worksheet/10 tossups with 2 part bonus. Surely, I jest....
