Congratulations to Liberty, Kearney, and Kickapoo for being more honest than Floyd Irons!
Also, wonder why 2002 wasn't stripped. Must be more embarrassing for MSHSAA to award a defaulted state title to someone who got SCORCHED 82-28 in the finals than it is for them to admit that their ref SCREWED L-TOWN OVER IN THE SEMIS THE NIGHT BEFORE!

I actually remember watching the 01 game on FSN back in the day. It's a shame they violated the eligibility rules, because performance-wise that team was unreal.

You should have seen the 02 team - McKinney's senior year. Again, still a bit irked over that, as were many Vashon fans. From what I recall, they wanted us again because we gave them a formidable yet containable scare. Had that ref let Scott Carroll's three-pointer count (as it should have!!), we likely would have lost that championship game by about ten points.

From the AP article:
"had improperly spent $50,000 on a scoreboard, about $100,000 for new uniforms and $5,900 on a gymnasium floor."
Wait, $5,900 on a gym floor and $100k for new uniforms? Methinks some reporter got his numbers screwed up here.

Bear in mind, just because the audit said "$100K on uniforms" doesn't actually mean $100K was spent on uniforms as these people were siphoning $$ to pay for players' rent, kickbacks to the coach, etc.

Yeah I imagine that was the idea. However, it would make more sense for them to at least skim off money and record it a little more reasonably.
