When do we get the official district results? Obviously, due to the fact that this board does not represent every district, there will be some which we do not know.

TJ won against Lockwood. Ballard and Drexel made the finals as well.

Three players on all-district team (14.3, 7.3, 6.3).

Purdy won in district 6 class 2 over College Heights Christian. Don't know any details of this shocker except that it was at Purdy. I really thought McAuley or Jasper would come out of that district.

hats off to "Da Man" jr., Mr. Jimmy Li of Parkway Central - he nearly tripled the ppg of the second highest scorer. He also led to his team to an over 200 pt. vicotry in every game he played.

gooooo Jimmy

Kirksville beat Rock Bridge and Helias in 4A. They are definitely going to be great at State.

How did Lincoln do in Class 2, District 7? I know Adrian was the favorite, but Lincoln potentially had two of my distant cousins playing, so maybe having two Muellers playing propelled Lincoln back to respectability (and victory?).

In class 2 district 2, Viburnum won their first district championship in school history defeating Valle Catholic in the finals. Belle and Bismarck were the other two teams in the semifinals. Viburnum had two players make the all-district team: Matt Chadbourne was 1st (18.8 qpg) and Jessica Chase 6th.

There are quite a few new faces in the crowd...and some low combined scores compared to the recent past.

Boy, Kirksville and Helias must have had a battle.

I would think you'd have to call Strafford over Ava and upset, eh?

I noticed the low scores as well, after hearing the players talk earlier I figured to see some 600-700 combined games. I would of loved to play in this era in 2A, one team breaking 300. My senior year we lost in the semi's 450-375; in the freaking semi's

These results sure let you know the competition across the classes. Check out WCA and Priory...690 combined

Savannah and Cameron - 670

I would have to say they are looking pretty strong. I know this doesn't tell the whole story, but Class 3 might be the cream of the crop.

MSHSAA is good for logistics, but actually doing the quiz bowl part of the championship belongs in the hands of others. Let MACA run the state championships; or let the Missouri College Bowl Tetrarchy (Mizzou, Rolla, Wash U, Truman) run it. Also, the state championships should adopt NAQT rules and questions; that way, the state tournament could have a round-robin and double-elimination playoffs in virtually the same amount of time, assuming the 8 teams per class qualification is still used. It's time to let the nerds run nerd bowl.

MSHSAA may not care as much about Quiz Bowl as football etc, But trust me the three other schools would love to see MSHSAA still run it then see Mizzou/Jason have a small piece in running it--if you doubt me (i do speak for UMR, ask Sean, Or Greg)

The low scores from the final round I dont think really tell the whole story

We averaged over 300 for districts and just played terribly that final game iam assuming thats the case for most teams

I agree... we didn't play that well in the finals either and I thought it had more obscure questions than the earlier rounds. It was our only sub-300 game all day

I am really surprised Eureka didn't make it over 300; they've gone over 500 at least twice before.

Yes, I don't think the scores on the final round really say too much. Scores fluctuate, and for us, that was our lowest score of the day.
