yep the fire alarm went off at 10:00 this morning while i was in class and then it went off again at 4:15. apparently they scheduled a drill for this morning but decided to have another one in the afternoon after it started snowing.

I think I'd rather live in a cardboard box than go back to TJ.

you might get more space if you find the right box and you won't have to share it with someone

I'm sure you could also get 100 Mbps ethernet and a decent cafeteria adjacent if you put the box in the right parking lot.

Wow...sounds a lot like Douglas up here.

No A/C (it was BRUTAL the end of August), hot water goes off at random times, midnight fire alarms, and we have to go to the next building to do laundry, cook, or play pool.

At least TJ has these amenities... of course they are probably low quality appliances and I know the pool tables are pretty bad (or at least they were when I went to a summer camp in '04). At the RC we have to go to Havener across the street to get food or play pool but we do have a kitchen on each floor and a laundry room on the first floor. Of course, as college students nobody knows how to clean up their messes in the kitchen and the third floor kitchen has been locked and you have to go to one of the RA's to get into it.

yeah the laundry sucks in tj. i go to the laundry mat under the gas station across the street. it costs about the same but takes less time.
