Ok, even though I am not against East Buc in anyway, I am getting tired of him constantly putting down Jason. This doesn't mean that I am in love with Jason or anything, it's just, why do you have to keep putting the man down for his comitment to the game? You should respect him for this. I'm sure if you passionately (sp) cared about something (i.e. a sport, or a girl) you would be as obsessed as he is. Are you just making up for your lack of a love for something? Do you have to knock a guy just because he loves doing something, and you don't have that kind of passion for anything? I'm just wodering, I'm not like a big fan of Jason, but at least I have a heart.
Oh, and because of these consistant put-downs, it seems that I owe it to Jason to play college quiz bowl.

Thanks, Jared. It's too bad I'll be graduated by the time you get to Mizzou.

Wow, i guess that's a hint that I really need to work on my math skills.

Oh, and I used the good old head God gave me and figured out it meant "Restraining (sp) Order". (this does not mean I'm a stalker, does it?)

good job jared. and until you see jason in action you might want to hold your opinions on subject to your self. if you would like i could put you in touch if everyone incharge of every college bowl in a 500 mile raduis of UMC. They all would give you much harser opinions of jason. As far as his passion there is million things better to do than quiz bowl. My main issue with jason is his ego. I can't wait till you get to college jared that way i have someone new to smack around

Jared, there's very little math in college play; there is virtually no computational math.

as much as all of us at UMR wish there was math in college bowl. However we usually have 90% of getting math tossups

I wasn't being serious about the whole math thing, it was a joke because of what you said...mujason wrote: Thanks, Jared. It's too bad I'll be graduated by the time you get to Mizzou.
Now do you get what I meant by working on my math skills?

AHHHHHHHHH!I'm sure every person who was there with Liberty in the final will remember Stephen Crane survived a sinking boat and wrote "The Open Boat".
We read that in my American Lit: Chronology class! The only character named in the book, the engineer Billy, dies! The rafts pass by a resort and the guests think they're fishing! It's an attack on disparaging rifts between the wealthy and the working class!
Funny how in the clutch, something comes up that you spent a whole day talking about in class.

oh i knew that one for two reasons:
1. Mr. Heyde at MSA discussed it in my minor class, "short."
2. Conveniently, I did my research paper this year on Stephen Crane' Red Badge of Courage, so I read up some background about him.
there were a lot of questions that I had just recently learned...like procrustes.....should have gotten that one, if i hadnt buzzed in too early against Kirksville and said Polyphemus, that idiot cyclops.

Oh, I loved the Procrustes question. I was ALL OVER it.
Maybe the one good question Straight A ever wrote.

If you like Procrustes, you'll love the Mizzou tournament. I wrote a Procrustes tossup for the 2002 tournament.

Michael knew "The Open Boat" was written by Crane, but you got in just a split second before him. It would have helped if he knew about the sinking boat incident.

Heck ya Jimmy!!! I've had a lot of help from having "short" at MSA. Like who wrote "A good man is hard to find" (O'Conner).
