Lexington will host a varsity tournament on March 27. To date (Feb. 26), we have 27 teams and have room for 5 more. If you are interested in getting some great competition prior to district tournament, contact Jim McCrary at Lexington at jmccrary@lexington.k12.mo.us. More information about the tournament -- including entered teams -- is available at our team webpage.

My social studies teacher told me this at a tournament (where a wrestling meet was going on simultaneously) - "Win or don't come home."

Suffice to say, we won.

Yeah, I would like to know how they did this year. Obviously, quite well since they will be at state, but I would kinda like to know what we are up against when we play them in the first round.

Well, Jim McCrary (Lexington coach) has been around for quite a long time and is highly regarded. As for their team members, I don't know anything about them. I'm sure that Coach McCrary has them practice a lot, though.

Them upping the ante with such a bold statement as Victory is the Only Option makes me want to see them get humiliated.

Beat them well, Kent.

They've probably had that slogan for years. Of course, all they've gotten from it is three seconds, three thirds, and a fourth. They're the Buffalo Bills of quiz bowl.

I don't know what that would make us then. We made it to state in 99, won 4th in 2000 ( I think) , and got 3rd last year but also are in the record books for getting slaughtered 600+ -around 100. Does that qualify for "choking" ?

It's not a choke if they're to the highest-scoring team of all time and to the best second-place team in history.

Kent...Lexington isn't extremely impressive. Having seen you play, I'd be surprised if you guys lost.

I might feel like moving this after splitting the HALO stuff from the ancient Lexington announcement.

Enough waiting, I'm splitting them and moving the HALO stuff to the Miscellaneous board.

I just moved it... yay.

Feel nice and powerful now? I think the only mod feature I've used so far is editing a post.
