Hello,
I am inviting you to the Bryce Avery Memorial Open: Still Lookin’ for That Map, to be held at North Kansas City High School on December 8th, 2007. This will be a mirror of the Bulldogs Over Broadway Tournament that will be used at Yale University and edited by Andrew Uzzell. The difficulty will be a little easier than ACF Regionals. We will not be requiring packet submission for this, although it is encouraged. The distribution will be the same as Yale’s -
4/4 History
4/4 Literature
4/4 Science
2/2 of any of the above three (no more than 1/1 of each discipline)
3/3 Fine Arts (music, painting, architecture, etc.)
3/3 Religion/Myth/Philosophy
2/2 Social Science
1/1 Geography/Current Events
2/2 Miscellaneous (General Knowledge, Multi-disciplinary, Trash, or more from previous categories)
Anyone who wants to come play will be welcome, and they will be allowed to form whatever teams they want. However, any regular school team is more then welcome to play, and I expect the bulk of the field to be made of teams affiliated with a school. The pricing will be as follows:
$100 base fee for every team
-$25 for any team that submits a packet to Andrew Uzzell using the distribution above by Nov. 16th.
-$5 for any team that submits a game by November 30th.
-$5 for each buzzer system brought by a team.
-$10 for every competent moderator that is brought by a team.
Minimum team cost per team - $70
So come and prove you know Hades is the Greek God of the Underworld and that Shylock isn’t the Merchant of Venice. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
Thank you,
-Charlie Dees, Tournament Director
