Ah, I overlooked that. I've added it to the schedule along with the mirror at Vanderbilt, which probably isn't a whole lot further away from Rolla than Chicago or Norman are.

My thing is gonna be December 8th, probably at NKC since the original host plan fell through. Announcement for it is here. Email me at the address listed if you're interested.

Yeah, after checking the schedule that's right before finals for us as well. It probably wouldn't affect me all that much, but it would likely affect some (or all) of my teammates. Chuq, in response to your question on hsqb I don't think January is all that bad of a time to host a tournament - I'm pretty sure the only thing UMR attended this past January was Sword Bowl.

Actually, what I think is going to happen with Rollapalooza is that it's going to move to the spring semester this year.

We might be open for that ... I have a formal that night that I would have to make it back for but it could be fun.

I'll play, as long as I have teammates and a ride, and not too much schoolwork.

That you're in your mid-20s and can't drive yourself anywhere, among other things.

What sucks is that Lincoln doesn't have a Clay Chastain to junk the place up with a light rail proposal.

He's referencing a man (Chastain) who is fanatically obsessed with bringing a light rail train to Kansas City for easier transportation. A lot of people think its a dumb plan, but he pushed hard enough that it passed a recent vote, although the city still doesn't actually have to build it. Chastain is so fanatically obsessed that he has continued his campaigning for this rail in KC even though he moved to Virginia a while ago, and I think he's an idiot.

After going to cities with a El or subway system and having to deal with the traffic of downtown KC everyday I would be in favor of either in KC.

Right, but have you actually read Clay Chastain's plan?
I don't think it is workable at all.

Like I said, I've seen the set, and you're really missing out on the best non-ACF introductory level tournament I've ever seen.
