The US Dollar is trading pretty low vs. the Euro/pound. Thus trips from Europe to US are cheap. Trip from the US to Europe cost a lot.

In the late 1990s I would tease people about their pitiful currencies. In 2002 I lost a bet when the euro became more than a dollar. So I had to treat some Vietnamese friends of ours to dinner.
