One vs. 100

Have you guys seen this, it is amazingley awesome. Ken Jennings is one there and I think most of the people on this board would walk away from there filthy rich. I think it is cool what do you all think yes or no. It is on KY3 in the springfield area for you guys up north well I dont know what to tell you.

I'd actually thought about taking a practice sometime (when we didn't have a meet in close proximity) and setting it up like the game. I might still tinker with the idea. It would be cool for maybe a spring break practice or some time when we have a little more time, so that several people get a chance against the mob.

Interesting idea, but the questions were too simple to interest me much. And Bob Saget isn't the best choice of host.

Watched the pilot and the questions were heavy on pop culture. Pathetic that someone can make $46,000 on correctly naming someone's dress selection.

Hope NBC's having fun with it...

Eh, it's better than "We Open Random Suitcases For People Who Should Really Consider Gambler's Anonymous Because They Have No Actual Skill When It Comes to This Show No Matter How They Act Like They Have a Clue." Seriously, I've seen people in casinos at blackjack tables act like the contestants on that show.

Nice Title. I think they'll have to shorten it for TV though, Ha Ha!

It is unfortunate that it takes something so un-Academic (if I can use this as a "word") as this to keep people interested.

By the way, did the academic competition in the "chat" board go anywhere? It was an interesting concept to me. One of our seniors had actually suggested getting on instant messenger and trying to do a practice if we got snowed out Thusday, but I haven't got any experience with instant messenger, so I didn't know how well that would work. I have a little bit of a technology fear that I am trying to work through. I just keep trying to jump in and learn new things, but it doesn't always work.

It never got started. Jeff and I were there, but no one else joined.

I'll probably try it again sometime, but probably scheduling it a couple days in advance.

Yes, I have. It's somehow as or more tasteless as the show that inflicts Howie Mandel on us AND somehow easier than 1 v. 100.

Yes, but William Shatner can make anything good.
