Brazilian steakhouses don't suck.

There's one near my home -- $14.95 gets you a salad bar that includes fish, some sort of goat, bean soup, as well as the usual salad bar stuff. In addition, people with skewers of (1) chicken, (2) turkey wrapped in bacon, (3) pork sausage, and (4) sirloin go around and every 10-15 minutes stop by your table. You can then request meat until you do your Mr. Creosote imitation.

I have no need to eat any more today.

Haha, that happened to me on the Monday before state.

Unfortunately, I was sick until Thursday afternoon; I had at least 35 pages of make-up work when I returned to school on Friday; I couldn't come to either quiz bowl practice that week; my teammates, my parents, and I began to suspect that I couldn't go to state (three of my teammates made a card for me in Spanish IV, and, incidentally, I have the card by my computer right now); and I'm still not done with the make-up work.

The first bit doesn't suck, anyway.

But I think Blizzard's definition of "on the way" is like... in 8 years. If you're lucky.

So true... I think there's good reason to believe this game will be out sometime this decade, though. Of course, I'd have preferred an announcement of Diablo 3, but I'll take what I can get.

Harry Potter books, and no they are NOT a rip off of Lord of the Rings. I will say this the movies should not be in this category but in its antonym.

Harry Potter's cool and all, but overrated. We had a bonus on Harry Potter at districts. We had a tossup on it at Hancock. We have a freaking Harry Potter club at school. That's how overrated it is.

I've never heard anyone claim that Harry Potter was ripoff of LotR. But, that's probably because that's a retarded argument to make if you've read both series.

Harry Potter is NOT overrated.

and it's not like LoTR either... it has elements of it, I guess, but I think Rowling has cannabalized from a lot of other fantasy stories. Harry Potter is at least as much like LoTR as it is like Star Wars.

Harry Potter is NOT overrated.
After I heard some woman in charge of a national literary organization say that people twenty years from now will read Harry Potter like we read Fahrenheit 451 today, I came to the conclusion it's overrated. But then again, that is just one person's opinion.

Summer break doesn't suck.

We already do read Harry Potter like we read Fahrenheit 451. Left to right, top to bottom...

Oh, that explains why none of those books made sense...

HyVee sunflower kernels... for some reason they have the right amount of salt or whatever seasoning that makes them taste so much better than any other brand. Even the package of Schnucks sunflower seeds I got today, which is the exact same package, nutrition facts, ingredients, etc. as the HyVee branded ones taste bland.

We're pretty pessimistic on this board... this thread is buried while "things that suck" is right up at the top. (of course, I'm quite possibly to blame for that, with all the random complaining I do in that thread)

Anyway... something that doesn't suck: AJAX. I finally started implementing it tonight (hence why I'm still up at 3 AM) and it's really cool to be able to only reload part of a page. Hopefully I'll be able to use it efficiently in my programs.

I tried to listen to Hannah Montana on YouTube but could not make it through the entire song. I succeeded with some Jonas Brothers songs though.

Styx, Journey, Kansas, and Foreigner. All of these bands Do Not Suck.

Yeah, that is a pretty sweet system, way to go!

Things that don't suck:
Sunny days!
Perez Hilton
Enchanted
The fact that the writers' strike is over and done with and they got some of what they wanted
The fact that over a million people have financially contributed to Barack Obama's campaign
A glitch in the Matrix that gave me $250 more on my meal plan than I'm supposed to have
