As in it's burned into the screen, or there's some kind of plaque on it?

Doesn't it take a lot of time to burn an image into a plasma screen? Or is that just LCD screens?

What did you do, keeping the monitor running while downloading something with Vista?

As far as I know early plasmas take a relatively short time (only a couple of hours I think) to start burning in and LCDs take much longer but I think they eventually do have some burn in. I think the manual for our LCD tv recommends no longer than 2 hours for watching something that has black bars (for instance not stretching a 4:3 signal to the screen's 16:9)
