My friends and I did this the Fourth. We got a gross of bottle rockets. Ripped off the sticks, then tossed them into a barbecue grill that had hot coals (we just relit them to make them hotter). It took a bit, but then they all started to fire off. It was an absolute blast (NPI).

Are you crazy? Although there is probably the danger of the stuff in them becoming unstable. Well, the more unstable the better. But why else would I throw away fireworks?

LibertyMarie wrote: um...throw them away? Marie, you're obviously a girl. Say that you purchased a whole bunch of great, wonderful Disney lollipops. They're great. You can only buy them one time a year for this great Disney festival. Lo and behold, you bought way, way too many. Now, you have several choices of what to do with them. You can eat them all at once in a night of Disney inspired sugary gluttony. You could also share them with your friends so that you both get utility out of your overabundance. You could also use them in some sort of trick at high school, by leaving them anonymously in random people's lockers so they'll be confused and think "Double-you-tee-eff mate" and prank them. Or lastly, you could think up some other creative use to get utility out of your candies. Now, the real question is, why would you want to throw away all of the candy that you purchased and is sitting there, taunting you with their utility (economics utility, BTW)? It's, it's just, it's plain old wrong! With those Marie-ized options, which do you pick is the best way to use your leftover Disney Princesses lollipops?

jcarkeys wrote: Marie, you're obviously a girl. Glad we've got that one cleared up. umm...I'm going to replace "Disney princess lollipops" with "[insert fun pop culture something-or-other] valentines I bought feb. 15," because I've actually done that and can thus imagine myself doing that (lollipops? really?). haha. well...they're sitting in a pile in a dusty corner at home somewhere. If I remember them, I bust them out for that holiday the next time it comes around, but otherwise I'm mostly content to let them be. A little sad that they're not getting any use, but knowing I'll get a time to use them if I am patient. : ) what...still not helping? lol Yeah, I really hate fireworks. Well, I'm fine with the pretty ones you go see that are DONE BY PROFESSIONALS, but letting morons run around with explosives, yeah, not a big fan.

I know she didn't mean it like that, I didn't mean so sound offended, and to be fair I am probably last person you would want to trust explosives with, thats why I want to get rid of them as quickly as possible.

I don't want to just use them I want it to be something memorable alright here is what you do: 1. Buy a crap load of army men (soldiers, tanks, vehicles, etc) 2. Build/Create/Find a battle field with some sort of water supply (lake/deep river) 3. Set up the two sides (or more if you feel like it) - implement cover for the soldiers 4. Get a few friends together and hand out the fireworks for the uses bellow: - Bottle rockets = soldiers/machine guns - Water dynamite = use on ships - Big Size Bottle Rockets = tanks and big guns - Roman Candles = bombing runs 5. Destroy as see fit have fun with this one, i would love to do this. probably not very safe.
