why does umr need a concert on st patrick's day? aren't people too preoccupied with green beer to go to think about concerts?

Shinedown and Trapt?

I think I'd rather have them come to NW, but Hinder is coming here April 19th.

Our school paper wrote a great review of Hinder's album. It said something like "Hinder, in trying to bring macho-fueled 'dude rock' back to popularity, does nothing but remind us why we didn't like 'dude rock' in the first place."

Oh sweet Elvis, I am so out of it.

I have not heard of any of these bands.

I need to stop listening to XM Radio 24. Otherwise I will turn into Eurotrash.

Don't worry, neither have I.

Well I used to like Trapt. They are still decent every once in a while... not for musical ability by any means, but I like it for some reason. Shinedown is kind of the new Lynard Skynard.. Southern Rock but a little heavier most of the time. Modern Day Zero is just a STL band that has had a little success outside of MO.

I wouldn't be going to Rolla for the concert though.

I can't claim they're my favorite bands per se, but compared to some of the bands we've had here previously, this is like Elvis or the Beatles coming to town.

Last year Bob Dylan came to town. Pretty much every person in our school including teachers went to that. Did you go Justin?

And conform to everyone else? No!

I was completely broke at the time. But I'm not heartbroken about not going....I'm actually not sure if I'd have gone if I did have the money. I don't like paying over 30 bucks for concert tickets (unless there's at least three good bands there, and if I remember correctly, Dylan was there by himself). Dylan's were like 45-50 dollars.

(First of all, I haven't been reading this thread at all.)
So I thought for a second there that what I'm quoting said "Did you go see Justin?"
My next thought was, "whoa, I didn't know these were the kind of people who'd go see Justin Timberlake...the message board just got a lot cooler!"
But then I realized I had misread.
And was sad.
hahaha

I'm not going to lie at all.....if everyone who appeared on Timberlake's new CD was there at the show as well, then I would go, given the opportunity.
