Oh yeah, Superman! Honestly, though, I probably won't see too many movies (yes, pirates + superman is too many), I don't like to spend money plus I really don't have an attention span...
Plus, seriously. can this

Image

compete with this??

Image

I don't think so.

Actually, I think the new Superman could. The again, the late, great Christopher Reeve will always be Superman.

:ph43r: mostly there have been alot of confirmed video game based movies:

Hitman-Starring Vin Diesel

HALO-with Peter Jackson supervising

Splinter Cell-I have just seen a very vague Trailer about this one all I know is Paramount pictures is producing it.

Max Payne- only heard of it

And even Metroid- just now heard of it

I'd Keep going but I think u got the idea
I guarantee 90% percent chance that at least half these will tank (maybe even worse than the Mario movie)

I Just remembered the worst possible new movie I have heard of
are you ready

Aquaman- Starring rumor has it Kenaneu Reeves

First thing, if you're going to use the "tank" analogy, go with Bloodrayne.

Second thing, you've JUST heard about Metroid? They've been talking about it since '04.

Anything with Kristanna Loken has at least that value.

I really hope that Max Payne gets the cinematic gold workover it deserves. I just hope it's popular enough in 2007 that Max Payne 2 gets moviefied too.

X3

I'M THE JUGGERNAUT, B----!!!!
hahahaha

So will they make ANOTHER movie?? It seems like they'd have significantly less material to work with, but they left all SORTS of things unresolved...

(Apologies if you've heard this story before.)
So in physics my sophomore year of high school, it was my friend Bethany, me, and a bunch of upper-classmen boys. One day we were talking about X-Men (no, nothing was ever accomplished in this class) and the guys near us were talking about Rogue, and I couldn't think of Rogue's real name and asked Bethany. Bethany says "I don't remember, it was something stupid..." then we sit there for a bit and then we both remember that her name is Marie and burst out laughing (Bethany's middle name is Marie, too). "No, no, I meant her LAST name is something stupid..."

I have seen Da Vinci Code and X-Men III.

Can't wait to see:

Superman Returns
Pirates of the Carribbean: Dead Man's Chest
Miami Vice
Talladega Nights: The Legend of Ricky Bobby
Lady in the Water
Nacho Libre
Snakes on a Plane
Clerks II

Also, there's a movie coming out in October called The Prestige. Kind of an interesting movie if you ask me.

Speaking of Clerks, I heard Kevin Smith was making a Degrassi movie.

*for those who don't know, Caitlin from Clerks was named after Caitlin Ryan from Degrassi, a show of which Kevin Smith was a huge fan*

Anyone else oddly intrigued about A Prairie Home Companion?

Directed by a Missouri native, wirtten by the legendary Garrison Keilor, and a teeny-bopper plastic actress actually performs a not-so-fluffy role for once!!

Hmmm, I don't know about that, she did a dead guy in a bathroom and had a nervous breakdown over it.

Yep...our choice for a movie came down to Cars, A Prairie Home Companion, and Just My Luck. ...
The second wasn't playing at the closest theatre and we decided the first was more culturally significant than the last. *shrug*
(And then we watched High School Musical...Disney whores? yes please.)

Just like any live action movie starring Owen Wilson, Tom Arnold, or the Wayans Brothers. They might as well appear in this movie.

We had a Finnish exchange student staying with my wife and me last week. He wanted to see the Garfield movie. It was surprisingly non-bad.

It's not coming out in theaters, but The Dudesons Movie comes out on Tuesday.

I'd buy it on Tuesday if I weren't broke.

i THINK i'm avoiding spoilers here...

hrm...have yet to form an overall opinion of what i thought of pirates. some parts were really, really, really dumb (elizabeth throwing a hissy fit/yelling/b---ing at jack/will/norrington)...some parts were really lame "hey-this-got-laughs-the-first-time-around,-why-not-reuse-it" (why is the rum always gone?)...it was REALLY cheap in leaving a zillion things unresolved so you'll for-sure go see the next movie...it was pretty gross at times...

but, overall, yeah, it was pretty entertaining. i don't know if the word "good" particularly comes to mind, but entertaining.

...

arrrrrr!
