st: Mound City (6-0)
nd: Barstow (4-2)
rd: Pembroke Hill (5-1)
th: Blue Springs (3-3)...south i think...
Sam could not get off work so we had to play without him... We played Truman in the first round, Blue Springs in the second, and Barstow in the third. We went in to the afternoon ranked first. In the fourth round we played Smithville, and in the fifth round we played Pembroke (260-240). In the championship we were losing to Barstow by 40 at the half. Starting at question 6 of the 3rd round and ending at the end of the quarter (15 toss-ups in the quarter) Matt and I combined for 9 out of 10 tossups. We ended up winning by 30 (290-260) The questions were pretty good even though there were a couple that had the usual lead-ins but took unexpected turns near the end. "Whose woods these are-Buzz- Stopping by woods on a snowy evening, Robert Frost.-Incorrect...the question was asking for what type of rhyme scheme the poem had."
