Tri-meets

In the 275 Conference we have "Tri-meets" and I guess that they are like "Quads" if in a "Quad-meet" 4 schools play eachother...anyway we had our first Tri-meet, and it was ok. We play a little more than half of a district match (16 TU@10pts/10TU W/4 part Boni)

Our Scores were encouraging for the most part (with the exception of Round 2.)
Round 1. 200-45
Round 2. 165-60
Round 3. 250-40

What is the format for Quads?

Did anybody else notice that yesterday was the 1 year anniversary of the board?
That would be the Paper Anniversary...Next year...Cotton.

We play three different teams at each quad, so it seems like it works the same. There are 3 rounds of 3 games, then the top 4 teams in Varsity and JV play in the Quad Finals - whoever wins Quad Finals is the winner.

Our scores were up from last week even though our third round was atrocious.

So the three teams you play include JV teams?

Yeah...each team brings a Varsity and a JV team. The Varsity teams play the two other Varsity teams and 1 random JV team simply because it works out that way...

Yesterday the 275 Conference tournament concluded. We were victorious over Tarkio in the Semifinals(220-60) and again in the Finals(200-120). Matt and I are expecting All-Conference honors but are waiting for the final results. The Tarkio and Rockport teams are such sore losers...They complained after every loss we handed to them. Rockport complained about one of my answers (Lyrical Ballads with William Wordsworth) they said I gave 2 answers and that you can't do that. I said it was a flood/blitz/whatever so they threw the question out and put in a literature replacement toss-up "What 1931 novel begins with the line "It-Buzz-" Me: The Good Earth....Tarkio accused us of cheating after they dug our scratch papers OUT OF THE TRASH and looked at what we write down before every match. They kept the scrap papers and are going to complain to the state advisory board (or so they say). It's a shame that they are such sore losers because it puts us in a poor light. Scoreboard...4th consecutive Conf. Title...13/14 total Conf. Titles.

Just report them to the MSHSAA Executive Board for poor citizenship if they start throwing desks at you at districts. That'll shut them up! Just make sure they don't drag in their hometown hero from Congress, because Clay County's running out of idiot politicians to run against him! (Platte, on the other hand, has Betty Knight.)

Yeah, Tarkio went dumpster diving for our work...which was retarded. I played a whole two questions Mon. and Tue. but oh well. Next up is Savannah Varsity (March 19, 2005) so I expect to see a lot of you good quiz bowlers there!

Belle accused us of cheating both times we beat them in conference last year.
