There has been some rumor going around that one of our very own on the message board is going to be on Teen Jeopardy. Can you guess who it is?

no - It's Jimmy Li. Wish him the best - he is truly worthy and a dominator to boot.

Indeed it is Jimmy Li--Good Luck Jimmy--It would be a shame if you didn't dominate the other contestants like you dominate all of us.

At Camp I played against Evan Stewart, who appeared on Teen Jeopardy! and was the pride of the Cape at week's beginning.

He took third in Social Studies. I took second.

^_^

And I have yet to see that photo. However, the rest of the team managed to get photographed eating lunch. Must have been playing cribbage elsewhere.

ah, Jimmy Li...what a shocker...lol. (I was just going by how George knew what was going on.) I tried out for Jeopardy...that was quite the adventure. Actually, it was a horrid way to spend my birthday...but still. Uh...I'm done.

Great job Jimmy... I know I'll be watching.

You missed out.

They were at KC's Union Station in May.

And for future reference to the bellhops at the Plaza Sheraton, 20-year-old college students aren't exactly children anymore.

Yeah, Ms. Wagner sent out an e-mail to coaches saying it was tomorrow and that Jimmy said "he didn't do as well as he would have liked to"

Too bad we have Quads... luckily I am not one of those stupid morons who doesn't know how to set a VCR...

I'll comment more on everything after the tournament is finished airing.

Yea I met that kid at Ace Camp my sophomore year... he's my age I think. We nicknamed him Quizmaster because he was a bit of a geek. Anyway, great job on there and don't spend the money all at once now. lol.

wait...Michael is the infamous quizmaster I heard so much about when I was at ACE? I mean I don't know Michael all that well, but all the contestants hung out quite a bit and he didn't seem like he was much geekier than most ACE attendees.

yea, nerves may have had something to do with it...but I glanced to the upper left mainly because that's where this little ticker shows the player's scores.

I'm on again on next friday (feb 4th).

A wonderful example of how trusting technology can be bad:

I ordered a DVD Recorder with a hard drive and it came today, so I moved my old VCR to Kyle's room to record Jimmy on Jeopardy today, just in case the DVR didn't work right (most likely due to my bad programming). The DVR worked fine, so I decided to cut out the commercials and such before putting it on VHS to play in practice on Tuesday. I selected the beginning of the show and the ending of the show to trim it, and since I was used to our DVD editing program downstairs working that way, I didn't realize the part I selected was what was to be DELETED! So I accidentally deleted the entire show off the DVR (and had the before/after parts). Luckily, I had the VCR set up in Kyle's room, so I got the tape and put it in the other VCR in my room (I had two so I could copy tapes and cut out commercials), and when I rewound it, there was nothing but static... the VCR was connected to the wall with a cheap push-in non-screw coaxial cable, and somehow it got pulled from the wall jack when I plugged it into the VCR, so I don't have it at all...

Well, there's a big technology failure moment for me... I'll be lucky if Camp, Marie, or somebody else got a recording, but enough about that.

Anyway, I thought the questions in this one were a little easy... especially the Final Jeopardy question... why WOULDN'T it be the Kennedys?! The "Shakespeare writes for the WWE" category was great. Great job Jimmy... that was a very variable game; weren't all three of you in the lead at least once?

Yea, that game was really close.

Man, I get so pissed off when I watch that show....there were so many questions I should have buzzed in on....I just went blank on some (i.e. "BRIGHT" wtf....and the House of the Seven Gables.....what was I thinking).

Oh well.

They were all 3 in the 10,000's - Jimmy was 2nd and Wes (I think) was in first - the girl on the end was third. The Final Jeopardy question was like "Somebody from this family has spoken at every Democratic National Convention since 1956." It was obvious all 3 would get it, but Wes bid quite a bit more than Jimmy and won.

yea...I bid one more dollar than if Ruvani had wagered everything, since I knew Wes would bet intelligently and wager one more dollar than if I doubled everything (which he did). So in the end, even if I had wagered everything, Wes would have beaten me by one dollar. It's important to have the lead.
