Nationwide poll results

Post by Charlie Dees »

I thought perhaps at least the teams that went to HSNCT, and maybe someone else, would be interested in seeing the nationwide final season-ending poll results. I hope if nothing else, then that this may inspire some people to work to get on this list next year, because right now NKC in 07 and 08 is the only team from Missouri to ever rank in the top 25 poll.
Congratulations to the Charter School of Wilmington for finishing the 2008-09 season as the #1 team in the country. With 21 ballots received from various members of the high school quiz bowl community, Charter received 17 first place votes after finishing first at both the NAQT HSNCT and PACE NSC.

State College Area High School finished second, with Paul M. Dorman High School third.

I can't imagine anyone ranking Stow-Munroe 23rd, that Ike Jose guy is a genius.

While I have no idea if he's a genius, I will certainly agree that Ike deserves much more credit than that, and that when I looked up the particular ballot, it was from a Mission San Jose player, which is a team from the intensely insular Bay area circuit so chances are he never saw any of the PACE, ACF nationals, or other results for Ike.
