Webster Groves Statesman Invitational Tournament 1/26/2019

Post by scphilli »

Dear Coaches,

On behalf of the academic team of Webster Groves High School and their coach, Julie Burchett, I am pleased to announce the inaugural Webster Groves Statesman Invitational, a varsity level event to be held at Webster Groves High School on Saturday, January 26, 2019. I, Sean Phillips, will be serving as Tournament Director for this event. The question set will be the SCOTTIE set provided by Glasgow High School of Glasgow, Kentucky. This set is also being used at STARK in Louisiana, Missouri, on January 12, so if you are planning to attend that event, please note that you cannot attend both.

The fee structure for the event is as folllows:

-Flat $10 fee per team regardless of letter designation.
-Additional $70 for a first team and $60 for each subsequent team.
-$5 discount for each working buzzer system.
-$15 discount for providing each qualified moderator
-$10 discount for providing each scorekeeper.

The initial field cap will be 18 teams. Please limit your rosters to no more than six players per roster. If you have more kids, don't hesitate to add another team.

All registrations should be emailed to myself at seanqb1982@gmail.com

Thanks and we look forward to seeing you on January 26th!

Sincerely,

Sean Phillips
Tournament Director, Webster Groves Statesman Invitational

On behalf of Coach Julie Burchett and the Webster Groves High School team, I’d like to thank everyone for coming out today for this inaugural event. I appreciate the spirit of each and every player and I thank you all for a well played day.

Statistics can be found here:

Once again I’d like to thank Coach Burchett and her team but also I’d like to thank the staff who helped make this possible. Kevin Stockman, Matt Chadbourne, Peter Kahn, Jason Loy, Jacob O’Rourke, and Michael Rip Van Powers. We could not have run today as efficiently without your efforts. Thank you all so much.

Coach Burchett and I thank you all again and hope we will be seeing you all soon in the near future!

Sean Phillips
