2018 MSHSAA DISTRICTS/RESULTS

Post by scphilli »

I'm sure Jeffrey will provide a more comprehensive list, but I wanted to wish everyone competing in districts today good luck! I'm at Clayton's district so I'll post results from there!

Stephanie and I are reading Class One, District 6 at Leeton. We only have three teams (sadly, a fourth team was unable to compete for lack of players). The three-team round robin went as follows:

Drexel 370, Green Ridge 90
Drexel 300, Leeton 260
Leeton 350, Green Ridge 110

Drexel and Green Ridge will play at 1 p.m. for the district title. The winner of this district hosts Lakeland.

All-district players:
1) Devin Goins (Leeton) 38
2) Jonah Hatten (Drexel) 21
3) Paul Orton (Drexel) 15
4) Questen Poole (Drexel) 6
5) Ellie Orton (Drexel) 5
t6) Allison Fox (Green Ridge) 4
t6) Candace Hilt (Green Ridge) 4

Semifinal and final scores will appear on MSHSAA's website through their scoreboard page: https://www.mshsaa.org/Activities/Score ... e=04142018

Drexel defeated Leeton 300-190 to win Class One, District 6. Balanced scoring kept the Bobcats in the lead from early in the first through the remainder of the match.

Congratulations Nevada! Enjoy your 2:56 drive to Fatima.

(By comparison, Rolla has a 3:37 drive west to Belton. I'm guessing these are the two longest sectional drives this year.)

Thanks! It’s only fair since they had to drive to us last year. Hopefully we’ll tyrn the tables this time-last year we lost by one point on the last question.
