Orchard Farm Eagle Invitational - 3/11/17

Post by kstockman »

Orchard Farm is proud to announce the 2nd Annual Eagle Invitational on March 11, 2017. We will be using NAQT IS-162. Please note that this set will also be used December 3 at Kickapoo, January 14 at North Kansas City, and April 1 at Jefferson City. General tournament rules will include awarding 15-point powers, 5-point penalties for incorrect tossup interrupts, and three non-rebounding bonuses for each of the 20 tossup questions. The tournament will be pooled for prelims followed by playoff rounds, and if needed, include an advantaged final.

There are no restrictions on registering aside from being a member the Missouri State High School Activities Association (or related organization for teams outside of Missouri). Teams not from Missouri are more than welcome to join.

Fee Structure
$70 - First team
$60 - Each additional team (initial cap of 2 additional teams. 4th team and beyond will be waitlisted)
$5 - Buzzer Discount per fully functional system (8+ player identification)
$5 - Travel Discount per 100 miles of travel (one way, door-to-door on Google Maps)
$10 - Experienced Moderator Discount for each staff a team brings

Registration
Rather than sending an email, please complete this Google Form to enter your school's information. Once you have received a confirmation email, you will be registered for the event.

Our initial cap for the tournament is 24 teams, but will expand if sufficient staff can be secured.

If you have any questions, my contact information is below.

Thanks, and I hope to see you at "The Farm" on March 11!

With the registration of De Smet, we have filled our original limit and have started a waitlist. If there is sufficient interest and enough staff can be secured, we may open the tournament to more teams, so don't hesitate to register!

After an increase in offerings from staff and interest from teams, we have opened our tournament to a max of 28 teams. If there is sufficient interest and additional staffing, we may open it to an additional 4 teams, so please register with this Google Form to secure your spot on the waitlist.
