Hey everybody, there will be weekly quizbowl practices that are 2-3 hours long on the MU campus over the summer. If you are interested in coming to these routinely, you should fill out this survey to let me know when you are available to attend a practice - http://doodle.com/epanb6ugizw9h68m

Practices will be starting this Friday from 2:00-4:30 in the McReynolds building on campus. There will also be practices on Monday from 7-9 PM, although we are still reserving rooms for future practices, so their locations may change. But yeah, Mondays from 7-9 and Fridays from 2-4:30.

And yes, these are open to anybody, coaches, players, people who live on the street, etc. as long as you want to come play a little quizbowl.

I realized I made a mistake about which building is which on that end of campus. We will be meeting in McReynolds, which is a big classroom building, NOT McAlester, which is an office building. I edited that above too.

The first Monday night practice will be happening tomorrow, going from 7-9 PM. We will be meeting in a TBD room on the 2nd floor of Arts and Sciences.

Tonight, 2nd floor Arts and Sciences, 7-9 pm.

Just wanted to say we've gotten a really awesome turnout for all of these so far. The fewest people who've showed up were 5 people last Friday, and that was just because some people were out of town. A couple of the practices have gotten more than 10 people, and all of them have had players from middle school up through ex-college players. Most of it is fairly high school oriented, although I make a point of mixing in some harder material here and there (college packets or old nationals sets) depending on the mix of people in any given night. If you're not busy, you live in driving range of Mizzou, and you like quizbowl, I definitely would recommend dropping by, especially if you would like to see how teams like Rock Bridge and Hickman get prepped, because I think you'll enjoy yourself.

As usual, practice is happening tonight from 7-9 in room 232 of Arts and Sciences.

OK, tonight is movie night in practice. 7-9, Arts and Science 232. Jenny Z. is being a wonderful person and bringing soda, so if anybody else feels similarly charitable and has some snacks they can get rid of they will be eaten.
