Is it me or does it seem like a good idea to host this tournament inbetween districts and state, assuming I read the rules correctly that there can now be one tournament per team inbetween those dates? It just seems like a better idea, since it frees up the calendar, is later in the season, and can serve as a sort of pre-state warmup, among other things.

Does NAQT allow qualifiers this late? All their state tournaments are in late February.

Actually, last year's NAQT qualifiers/state championships ranged from February 16 (ours) to New York's on May 17. I'm considering the possibility, though everyone should still consider February 21 to be the date unless I post otherwise.

Yeah, you're dead wrong Kyle, there were only 2 NAQT state tournaments in February last year (MO and IL) and every other one is in March, April, or May.

It will come down to the new principal Adam. I think he will be ok with it though.
