Norwood Tournament
Norwood Tournament
So there is a Norwood tournament coming up next weekend. I don't know if they have written their own questions or not (hopefully not by our luck they will have gotten something like QQQ, yes, I would also like to vomit) anyway though we are going just because we want some early experience(this is considered early for us). The tournament is closed so other teams probably cannot attend though there wont be much competition.
I will try and get the teams on here and let you all know the results. It should be a easy tournament for us. I could easily see us winning and putting 350-450. I told our coach we need to be shooting for 500. We have only reached that mark one time before but I am pretty confident that we can reach that number.

The Norwood Tournament bought questions from The Question Bank, aka, me.
I hope you find the questions acceptable.
If you score a game in the 500's, you are definitely a state contender!
Richland did not attend because they were not invited.
How come you guys didn't enter the Southwest Mo Mind Games Tournament at Lockwood?
Richland won the Salem Tournament last week and scored 580 in one game. That's a score to shoot for. It would appear that districts will come down to Richland and Fordland again this year.
I hope you find the questions acceptable.

MLK Magnet scored 725 in one game at Vanderbilt and answered every single tossup, and there were 100 less possible points in that format.

The reason we did not go to lockwood is because Bert is also the cross country coach and was busy. The Salem tournament was the same weekend as CC State and we had competators.
Well, 500 is what I am shooting for and the rest of the team. The Norwood Tournament bought questions from The Question Bank, aka, me.

580 is a really good score. Do you know how they did in the finals against Salem? Or is that the team they through up 580 on? Anyway, I will give the results of the tournament if I can. I don't know if I will be able to get individual totals though I will give a breakdown by game so you will know how your questions were answered.
Norwood Tournament
So this is tomorrow and I will be giving full results later on tomorrow afternoon.
Norwood Tournament
I will try to get the Lockwood results up by 10:30 p.m. tonight.
Norwood Tournament
Results will be posted by our coach later on today.

Bert, I just realized that we had the top three highest point totals of the day with 300, 280, and 250. Ava didn't show like we figured that they would.

Salem got second place? Did they improve from last year? At UMR Winter last year, we just stomped all over them.

Apparently they were missing their best player for a lot of Rolla-Fall last year.

Also, I should note that we had 80 to 10 on them in the first quarter. Like coach said this was our first tournament and we were blowing out the cob webs.
Well, yes they really werent that good. 1. It was a bad day for me and two other teammates. 2. They didn't really have a great team...Salem got second place?

They weren't a major state force, but they weren't bad either. You've got to be decent to get 2nd place at a nine team tournament. This wasn't like the Rolla, NKC, WashU, or Richland Tournaments (or any of the premier tournaments that pull in the large KC or STL schools and several other state contenders), but they were definitely one of the top teams there. Their JV won convincingly, so I would think they should be a solid team for a while.Ford08 wrote: AShoaib Posted on Nov 17 2007, 07:10 PMWell, yes they really werent that good. 1.
