In addition to serving as a qualifier for NAQT's national tournaments, it appears that we will be Gold Certified by PACE, meaning that the top 20 percent of teams (6-7) will receive bids to their National Scholastic Championship June 6th and 7th at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare in Rosemont, Illinois.

Unless we have any additional staff come on board, it looks like we will have a field of 20 teams. Would love to expand to 24. Coach Brandon and I will have the tournament primer out to teams this weekend. This will include details on the pre-registration window for OMAR, our high school tournament ...

We have secured enough staff to allow a field expansion to 2428 teams and move all teams on the waitlist into the field. With a couple drops, we have room in our field for more teams.

And with this weekend's forecast calling for another round of ice and snow Friday evening, we have decided to cancel the 2020 South Shelby Winter Invitational. We will not set a makeup date. We've hit our initial cap, but we are confident that we should be able to secure enough staff to allow a field expansion.
