Well, this should quiet the talk that Ladue was a team composed of one person; the credit here clearly belongs to the players and to Mrs. Lund and Mrs. Hier, who have created a program that transcends mere individuals.
Those who were there- how did it go down?

Non-Seniors
At Ladue, we'll have Andrew Chang (Senior), Christina Baer (Senior), Marc Prablek (Sophomore), Jason Bell (Sophomore), and Tommy Xu (Junior). The members of the team complemented each other very well this year, so expect a balanced attack with pretty good depth next year.

Yeah, I understand that a bit better now.
I don't know about the tuxes- I can never tell the difference between them unless it is pretty blatant.

Spring KMO
Hey, how do you guys do KMO? Is it just Quiz Bowlers, or do you guys try to do a general invite?
We try to recruit broadly, but this year about 3/4s of our KMO team ended up coming from Quiz Bowl.

Kevin is; I don't know about Scott. What the FZW coach said about Parkway Central is all very accurate. Their captain, JJ Lee, wasn't at Districts, but the rest of their team gave us two rather close rounds; we were taken a bit by surprise. In any case, rumors regarding the death of their program ha...

I don't think it's fair to say that Ladue has a "dominant" player- at UMR Andrew Chang was within the top 10 players of the tournament. At Districts, Christina Baer landed a spot on the All-District team, and at Westminster's invitational, a team headed by Steven Marcus and Christina Baer ...

Interesting.
I'm just a bit curious, Clark; we don't play you at state, so did you formerly go to school at PSouth? I figure there's some reason behind that "vested interest" of yours.

I don't know much about FZW, but SLUH has Timo Kim, a very fast player who has a lot of the same strengths as our team. Plus, I remember reading somewhere on this board that a Eureka player averaged 13 qpg at some tournament. (I'm guessing the Lexington one) After this weekend's tight games with Par...

Hahahahaha. Ladue isn't looking forward to its slate of FZW, Eureka/SLUH, and Liberty either. Based on the schedule, is there any chance of a "stealth" undefeated in class 4?

You guys are forgetting Timo Kim (SLUH Senior) and two pretty solid Ladue juniors- Christina Baer and Andrew Chang in class 4. I'd have to agree with the other selections, however, as I haven't seen most of the picks.

Could anyone who witnessed both rounds comment on how the pace of the final round compared to the one in the fall between Savannah/Ladue?

Props to Wash U on running a fun tournament. I thought the overall caliber of competition was pretty good, once you got beyond prelims. I watched the Westminster/Madisonville and the finals rounds, and the teams that went late into outrounds certainly were there for a reason. Dunbar was once again a...

Mmm... First post.
I'm Jason Wu from Ladue, class of '06. College status TBD.
Besides Quiz Bowl, I do some math, science (especially bio), debate, and other stuff.
